This movie is really about the party and not much else. It's as if they said, "Hey, wouldn't it be a great idea to have a movie featuring a party with a bunch of middle aged, middle class white people?" And then they wrote a lame plot around the idea of a party.
The party has every aspect of a great movie-party as if they had a checklist. Music, dancing, copious amounts of alcohol, illegal drugs, driving under the influence, a girl-on-girl fight, a noise complaint and a visit from the police, destruction of property, etc. The only thing they didn't have was nudity.
My suggestion is that you go live your own life. Go out with your own friends and have fun yourself and don't waste your time watching this lame movie.
