A new thriller drama featuring James McAvoy on Peacock. A father who spent little time with his family returned to his ex-wife in order to find his missing son.
This is another case of a mediocre movie that tried nothing more than the genre's skeleton. The story was done countless times before, which made this movie so boring and predictable. The thriller scene near the end was pretty decent, but was not enough to make me care much for the characters.
The only saving grace of this movie was James McAvoy himself. He had a good performance despite playing such a mediocre character. This confused me a bit because I can't see why he wanted to be in this movie. His character had a background that was barely touched on. It was mentioned with the intention of having some significance to the overall plot, but at the end it was just brushed off. Not sure why they would leave such seemingly important detail in the air.
Overall, such a mediocre movie. Even though it's free on Peacock, don't waste your time. 4.5/10.
