I honestly thought this movie was a drama remake of 'But I'm a cheerleader', as the plot is almost identical! It starts the same, develops similarly and end almost the same - minus the romance between the main character and another girl, which in the case it's at the beginning. And the similarities even include little details such as a creepy female owner of the facility, with a male assistant who used to be gay himself; friendship amongst the more alternative kids; the fact that's set in the 90's etc. It wouldn't bother me if I haven't read that the director said in an interview that people see similarities just because they're two movies about lesbians... well, no: it's because it's the same freaking plot!!
Anyway, I found the movie itself OK but quite boring and predictable, and a good indication it's that I found myself glancing at my watch often, I just wasn't enjoying it, and I wasn't expecting this 'cause it's 'my style' of movie.
