See this sparkling champagne sprout jambooree coming, just like the first pre come of a climax for a nouvelle male, its all about addicton to whatever turns out to be your best side , in this case a good old squeeking mechanical pinballmachine, in good old new york city, a machine banned by law due to its addictive abilities, a way of causing economical ruin upon the young and voulnerabel, an idea that is laughable today, even though the pinballmachine drains your pocket for money and considering that a pinballmachine never gives you back prizemoney as a slot machine, just some extraballs, and bonus games if your among the top two percenters of the human league... what matters is to prevail the machine at all costs...
i used to hang out by the machines over here in norway when young, never decent on the acts, but my brother used to be infamous, either at ''basso's'' or the other joint ''flippen'' in haraldsgatå, haugesund. He was the bonusgame collector that made the management go crazy, them loosing money due to his abilities to take hold of a machine at all opening hours, leaving me some extra games while he took a break to smoke a ''joint'' or ''rev'' as they used to say in norwegian...
a fascinating machine, blings and flashing light and the enevitable number counter, good god how i loved it, till the amusement joint where closed due to drug trafficking and only available in organized clubs in some major cities nowadays.
So let that be my amusement tip for you, at least do watch this movie cause it tells you why and why and why, in a strudeling subnoxious way of comedy and drama, its a halfway true story believe it or not as i do, well performed acts and a sweet smooth lovestory that comes outta nothing...
so bear over with me the ever so nostalgic grumpy old man, when i say this is a must see, nearly perfect nonsense for all to watch.a big recommend.
