Well ... as the title of my review suggests, the blurb about this being a "transformation film" is highly misleading.
As are the classifications as horror, fantasy or comedy. It was not all I expected when I went to see it, given the blurb. But it held my attention and in the end I found it absolutely worthwhile and would happily recommend it to viewers if they adjust their expectations accordingly. It was well acted, the direction was great, and the cinematography was good with some interesting gimmicks.
There are scenes that suggest a transformation, but it doesn't really happen, it's all in the mind of the main character, who can't come to terms with the death of her close friend and flatmate. So, you see, it's a drama that deals with grief (or the failure to deal with it properly) and how this failure causes the main character's whole world to fall apart, culminating in nightmarish visions (lucid dreams? Psychotic episodes?).
There are a few comedic elements in the film, and they helped the flow as far as I'm concerned.
P. S.: I totally disagree with the other reviewer that there's no story, no direction, no ending.
