When you write a script that wants to tell a story about the feelings an A.I. can have, you definitely don't want to put misconceptions and clichés in it. Unfortunately, that's exactly the case in this movie. As a Sci-Fi movie, I was hoping the movie would display a thought-provoking future, but it only shows us the same world as we live in, but with robots and dating systems that never would work when you start to think about it even a little bit. I don't get why others compare it to "Her" or "Ex Machina", those movies both give a lot more depth in what A.I. is, how it works, and where some problems lie. Oh, and those movies have an exciting plot, this movie just shows us the same kind of scenes over and over again. I feel that the whole story could have been told in just a few scenes. The editing was not too good either, on a technical level the movie is very 'eh' to me. The colored shots didn't really stand out to me, either.
Now on the plus side, the actors are great, but in this movie they're just wasting talent. This movie is also really good in capturing love scenes, which is probably the purpose this film is made for. It's like a 1.5 hour romantic film just for the romance, but they threw some robots in.
After all, I don't hate the movie itself, and it truly wasn't a torment to watch, but the story is just filled with nothing and it represents a misleading and plain view on A.I.
