The depth of this film is incredible, the amount of effort applied to each character feels almost unlimited, I couldn't imagine anyone else but Sam Worthington playing Ryan, every movement, facial expression and word was perfectly timed and on point.
The depth and ambience ceated by Johnny (Matt Nable) through his actions and demeanour within the movie is factually accurate and unfortunate to know there are soldiers who have deployed and taken this same path through life, his performance in every scene builds even more depth, his final scenes resulting in actions based on his unyielding commitment and sacrifice to his long unseen friend and team mate Ryan, only to be abandoned by him in his most desperate moment, Matt Nable could literally create another parallel film based solely around Johnny and his decent, resulting in a soldiers ultimate sacrifice, resulting in Ryan and his son Billy's second chance at life.
