From the first scene on I knew this would be a lesser adaptation from the source material.
Next scene introduces the kid and gives you 2 really lame jump scares and it stays on that level the whole movie thru.
Then some religion gets dumped on you and you're starting to feel like the director is holding his middle finger up to the audience by giving us bad drama and even badder horror.
The person who wrote this script has no sense of tension and the back story of the family was just tedious and there relationships felt forced.
This was more a movie along the lines of the purge and paranormal activity and I'm guessing the producer had a lot to do with the many bad decisions this movie has made.
Sinister did not deserve this sequel and it is sad that a good trilogy is now out of the question.
If a third is ever made I hope it deviates a lot from this one because as a horror this is really the bottom of the barrel.
Little advice no more characters from the first(or this one)and no more kids as one of the main characters.
I really REALLY didn't like this movie.
Wasted opportunity.
A shame.
