I read the creepy pasta that this movie is based on, and it is quite unsettling. This started out with some promise but it felt like it was disjointed in the second act and didn't really give the audience any real resolution to the story. I think they could have developed Luke's story more, as he was the more interesting and perverse of the inmate characters. It felt like a missed opportunity, even with the level of depravity he showed pretending to have killed Edwards daughter. Overall it wasn't an entirely unpleasant movie, which is why I still gave it a 6/10 stars. I think that if they had just stuck more closely to the source material it would have made for a more promising film as well but the film we got could have been worse.
