This seemed like both a bold and promising choice - creating a very big budget disaster film outside of Hollywood is indeed very hard, in order to make it realistic and good looking.
But safe to say, this very competent director managed to put together a fun, beautifully put together, and most of all, emotional and anxiety inducing adventure.
The effects are beautiful, very finely cinematographied, cut and edited - and the suspense is ever high, it is indeed an extremely scary and anxiety inducing feature. My favourite part is the middle act, taking place in a secluded mineshaft that is about to collapse. Very emotional character work, very suspensful and exciting.
Overall, a very finely made action film with some high emotions, and great visuals!
