I love invader zim and loved watching the series and thought it had great writing so was curious how this movie would be since its been awhile. I had a feeling this movie would not be good since its a "netflix original" but the first 20 minutes were amazing and I was literally dying from laughter. It had the same charm that the series had with the writers not being scared of it not being like most other kid shows now. After the first act though it honestly seemed like the writers were high when they were making the movie because it is so random. I understand that is kind of the point especially with invader zim but it was ridiculous. It reminds me of Spongebob fish out of water in the writers were just testing how random the movie could get but this was just ridiculous. Not to mention it kind of got confusing. I also feel they made zim kind of seem smarter in this movie than what he was in the series because he plays a lot of weird mind games with Dib that made me think it used to be the other way around because Zim is just dumb. Also I feel many kids who will probably watch this haven't seen the series which is fine but I think they would be completely lost because I had my little sister watch this and she was literally bored after the first act like I mentioned earlier.
