Alexander Emelianenko and Kostya Glukhov gave it their all, and their fight was rightfully the main event of the event. On March 30, 2012, at M-1 Challenge 34 in Moscow, Alexander Emelianenko faced Konstantin Glukhov in the main event. Following a sensational loss to Magomed Malikov, Alexander had won three straight stoppages and was entering this fight in excellent shape. Kostya Glukhov held multiple world titles in kickboxing and Muay Thai. In mixed martial arts, he had also completed 34 professional fights in just six years, knocking out most of his opponents. He was a tough and formidable striker who was set to make a big splash in his debut tournament under the auspices of M-1 Global. I'm sure you remember that it was at this same tournament that Sergey Kornev and Marcin Zontek had their fierce fight for the organization's championship belt, which cost one of the participants six teeth and a broken nose.
