WCW Great American Bash 1996 Review

Episode 404: Great American Bash 1996 For the 10th time, The Great American Bash was held(7th on PPV); and this one was one of the best in the history of the event. While the Main Event was The Giant vs. Lex Luger for the World Heavyweight Championship, the featured match of the night was a gigantic tag team match; the legends of the squared circle vs. the legends of the grid iron. Ric Flair & Arn Anderson comprised the wrestling legends team as they took on 2 future Pro Football Hall Of Fame inductees in Steve "Mongo" McMichael & Kevin Greene. A match so huge Bobby "The Brain" Heenan came out of managerial retirement to be in the Horsemen's corner. This show also featured the WCW debut of Rey Mysterio Jr., a hidden gem in Sting vs. Lord Steven Regal, an insane fight between Chris Benoit & Kevin Sullivan, The Outsiders continuing their invasion of WCW, among many other matches.
