Every moment during this movie left me absolutley encapsulated. The soundtrack in the background adds an absolutley thrilling atmosphere to the whole movie and really immerses the viewer in such a way that is rare to most - I greatly applaud the team for this - especially the high-pitched pop drum beats that are used as a base track in every music- making app ever! A genuis concept! Don't even get me started on the cinematography - it is as if Tarantino himself directed it with the amount of realistic injuries and heavy gore included! Golly Gosh!
Honestly, I had a hard time sleeping after watching! It is an absolute spectacle of talented film-making, rare to this generation. This is an absolute hidden gem and I believe this talent will definetley get the direction far in the future through their original and excellent directing style. The acting itself is absolutely beautiful and brought tears to me at points - especially where the male, blond talented main character, a master in the art of acting, gets punched in his chest by the ferocious space shark! My goodness! The mere speed of the shark was enough to make me gasp, and the hit itself was just perfectly executed. I just had to audibly flinch and look away - the gore was simply too much.
The use of amazingly applied CGI to create the plants that surround and brutally kill and drag around the main characters should honestly win an Oscar in itself - the mere talent left me speechless! I would advise to include more montages of scenes in the future - the 3 minute shots of beautiful scenery just wasn't enough for me, as I personally need time to really appreciate the beauty and excellently chosen location of the movie, evidently in an average british park, which may seem idiotic to the eye, but when compared with the uncomparable film-making of the director, this park becomes so much more. The Predator- like nature of the shark and his ability to see through objects just really adds to the thrill and becomes an absolutely wild experience, ideal for horror lovers!
I would also advise that the characters should walk for a bit more time, the 57 minutes of walking around just didn't really do it for me, I think a few more kilometres should do it. However, these shortcomings are quickly made up for by the fantastic acting, whos melodramatic nature overshadows the mistakes and shines a light onto the true talent of the actors, perfectly casted as I am convinced I saw the evil scientist in my local Tesco's on Saturday, providing a more personal feel to the movie which I am just in love with.
The overall combination of brilliant CGI with the over-expressed acting of the actors along with the ideal setting of an average british park (which closes at 9pm, accounting to the lack of night scenes) honestly works together brilliantly. The mere ability of the cast to move along with the space shark in such a flow is truly a miracle and I hope to see more movies like this in the future. The space shark is something clearly to be feared - it's legs, which may seem unnatural to the human eye but extremely creative to a good audience are simply a work of art, and the space shark itself genunley scared the marbles out of me! I applaud the director and the cast for such an amazing experience, and I very much recommend that everyone watches this movie at least once - it is simply a must- see that will 100% become a classic one day through its originality (among the other hundreds of shark movies created) through allowing the sharks to walk! Simply brilliant!
