In one of the most memorable examples, a Tai Chi practitioner known as Master Gu reportedly claimed that he could even defeat a legendary boxer like Mike Tyson. Confident in his abilities, he went directly to Xu Xiaodong's gym to put his skills to the test. The challenge was simple: defeat one of the gym's fighters. At first, Master Gu appeared confident and aggressive. But once his opponent began using proper boxing timing, footwork, distance control, and counterpunching, the fight quickly became a completely different test. And this was far from an isolated example. Throughout this video, we look at several encounters in which Tai Chi practitioners entered sparring matches against boxers and discovered the enormous difference between demonstrating martial arts techniques and applying them against someone actively trying to hit you.
