WWF Superstars – “Wrestlemania” (Instrumental) (Arista) 1993

Written and produced by Mike Stock, Matt Aitken, and Pete Waterman. The WWF (now WWE) first ventured into the world of rock music in the early 80s when wrestler, Lou Albano appeared in one of Cyndi Lauper’s music videos, "Girls Just Want to Have Fun”. Cyndi returned the favor by appearing at a number of WWF events. Segue to the early 90s and the WWF’s popularity was catching on worldwide. The organization enlisted the then hugely successful music team of Stock, Aitken and Waterman to create some contemporary fare for their wrestlers. The result was the UK hit album, “WrestleMania: The Album”, on which Simon Cowell was an executive producer. The album spawned two UK hits, “Slam Jam” reached #4 and “Wrestlemania” #14, both in 1993.
