It’s either a real but heavily exaggerated practice, or a completely fictional one said to originate from China. The idea behind it is to kill an opponent with certainty, yet avoid any consequences from the law. The strike is delivered with a fist somewhere around the heart or the solar plexus. The person might bend over or momentarily lose their breath, but overall, the blow doesn’t seem to affect them much during the fight. Then, a day, two days, or even a week later, they die — because supposedly the master damaged some critical part of the body that deteriorates over time. I even watched a movie once where hired assassins used this method to eliminate targets — clean, without evidence, suspicion, or mess. But personally, I think this belongs more in the realm of fiction. And realistically, landing such a precise and delicate strike would only work on some kind of dummy. If a person is even slightly resisting or moving, it simply wouldn’t work. That said, these are just associations in my head. The stories we’re about to discuss are not fantasy at all, but very real tragedies — with no secret Chinese techniques involved.
