Reliving My Childhood Favorite on the Wii U: Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire

The Nintendo Wii U eShop has a handful of virtual console games of the Game Boy Advance, one of my favorite that is on there is Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire. It combines my love of Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire and pinball, and I played it for hours on the GBA. When I got my Wii U and saw it was available to play on the big screen, it was an immediate purchase. The functionality was in thanks to it being able to be used on the Game Cube Game Boy Player. Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire, uses theming of the series with pinball for a one of a kind experience where you can hatch, catch, and evolve Pokémon around the pinball table. There are two different tables for Ruby & Sapphire. Pokémon are there to help you too, such as Pikachu uses Thundershock to save the ball when fully charged, Spoink as the ball launcher, Latias & Latios helps to save the pinball when active, and more. After collecting three Pokémon, you go to bonus stages, which are different depending which table you are on, using timing to hit the Pokémon to defeat them.
