Ok, I'm not going to give this a 10. It's not the best movie ever made. But come on. I seriously believe that the only reason people are giving this a low rating is the very same reason that I am giving it a high mark. I'm just willing to be honest about it.
I went into this bound and determined to hate it. From the description, and given today's "social" climate, I was expecting some liberal propaganda. Try as I might, I could not find a single thing to hate about this film. Yes, it is preachy and yes the theme has been done to death. But, then again, what in hollywood hasn't been?
Even with the heavy handed morality tale, this was still a fun, enjoyable movie. The singing was a bit much, but most shows aimed at kids are. It helps keep their attention. There was a real plot. The voice acting was just fine - so what if the actors didn't pretend to be someone their not? It's a cartoon people!
If you want a movie that the entire family can sit and enjoy together, this is it.
