Oftentimes in arm wrestling (and for sports in general) we tend to only focus on the guys who actively compete and do well in competitions. Especially so for a small sport like arm wrestling, where the number of "casual" participants don't vastly outnumber the pros like in bigger sports. As such, it was a pleasant surprise to me when I met Yuuhi Tanaka at the J-ARM practice session. He was introduced to me as "Ryoma's master," a title a thought was uttered as a joke, so I didn't think much of it. That is, until I actually gripped up with Yuuhi. He is genuinely one of the strongest 70 kg pullers I've felt and coming from a region full of 70 kg monsters, I do not say that lightly.
